Senior members are essential to a successful encampment. It's not required for a senior member to have full knowledge of Cadet Programs in CAP to participate in encampment, but it helps. Many senior who come to encampment learn a great deal about Cadet Programs and take this new knowledge back to their home squadron and apply it. It's a challenge for many senior members to attend encampment is it typically requires time off from work. The sacrifices of senior members in the past who devoted their time to Cadet Programs is immensely appreciated and we're always glad to have them back for next year.
